International Wiring System Philippines Yields 15% Reduction on Electricity Costs

International Wiring System Philippines, a subsidiary of Japan-based Sumitomo Electric Industries, is a leading manufacturer of high-quality automotive wire harnesses and electrical components. As a high-volume manufacturer, IWS consumes significant amounts of electricity, making energy efficiency a top operational priority.

To manage their energy consumption IWS collaborated with Enerxia under an electricity consultancy arrangement. This partnership provides the company with expert guidance in navigating the deregulated electricity market, including supplier selection, cost analysis, and rate negotiation.

For the billing period covering May 26 to June 25, 2025, IWS recorded an actual energy consumption of 1,907,612 kWh. With Enerxia’s strategic consultancy and negotiation support, IWS was able to secure a lower generation charge from its retail electricity supplier Team Philippines Energy Corporation (TPEC), that resulted in a 15.04% reduction in electricity costs for the one-month period.

This successful outcome reinforces the value of engaging energy experts to take control of electricity spending with real and measurable results.
