    1. What is a contestable customer?
    Contestable customers are typically large electricity consumers that meet a certain threshold of electricity demand. They have the option to choose their electricity supplier in the retail competition and open access market.
    2. What is Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA)?
    RCOA is a provision from the Philippine government that allows contestable customers to decide which electricity suppliers to source power from. Any establishment or company with an average peak demand of at least 500kW in the past 12 months qualifies for the contestability status and is allowed to participate in the RCOA.
    3. What is the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP)?
    GEOP is an initiative of the Department of Energy (DOE) that allows consumers to choose to source renewable energy from a licensed supplier as opposed to consuming whatever is supplied by their distribution utility (DU). A company can qualify if its average peak demand for the past 12 months is at least 100kW.
